TripTouch was founded in 2007 by Gil Ruda and Ron Mertens. TripTouch is based in Tel Aviv, Israel - but like their users they yearn for the skies.
At July 11 TripTouch announces its first investment from a group of private investors, lead by a leading high-tech angel investor.
Gideon Greenspan, a seasoned Internet entrepreneur (Web Sudoku, Copyscape and more) has joined the TripTouch team as a chief architect.
Gil Ruda, TripTouch CEO says: ” While most travel sites focus exclusively on pre-trip planning, TripTouch is aimed squarely at the needs of independent travellers during their trip. Every year hundreds of millions of young people travel for relatively long trips without booking ahead, and the needs of this market are clearly underserved. This investment will allow us to develop the first version of our solution and start to penetrate the market”.
